From my point of view, the zebra pillow is a great piece of design that can make even a bleah design look astonishing.


However, this doesn’t mean we should all have one or that the poor zebras have to be killed just so we can brag ourselves to our friends.

Just think of it! You and many others are the reason why these little innocent creatures are killed and for what? To have a zebra pillow? Totally not worth it!

There are so many zebra print pillows available, in all countries, all home improvements shops that you have no excuse to go for the real deal. You can find them in wide variety of stripes and color backgrounds that they can easily fit in almost all decors. This is better than the real zebra skin as you have more designs/textures to play with and it will all be odor free, which doesn’t go for the real skin that will still have a bad smell.  If you are the girly type or you want to bring a glimpse of color to your room, go for pink zebra pillows for a 100% glam.

As much as you like the zebra pillow, don’t overload your room with them because you will end up having a kitschy design. A small rug near the bed, a wall with zebra print wallpaper or zebra shades are enough. You don’t have to have them all.

The zebra pillow will look great in your bathroom, that is if you have enough space in there to keep other things except the basics. If you have some extra space, put in there a small wooden trunk, maybe with a vintage look and place two zebra throw pillows on it. You can use it as place to sit when you clean your face or while you chitchat with your friend/partner.

If you have a child that loves the safari and is fascinated by all those animals, you can decorate his/her room around this theme. Put a zebra pillow on the bed, pick a light brown carpet and if you have some extra room you can put in a couple of bushy plants that will allow you child to play hide and seek with his toys. There are so many options available around that you can go wild and do whatever you like.

As you can see, there’s absolutely no point into getting zebra pillows made from the skin of the poor zebra’s when if you really want to, you can create an authentic look using other items. The results can actually be way better so think twice before being part of this crime.
